Part 2: Stop!

Another fun game that kids in Mexico play is called Stop! All you need is a piece of paper and your imagination.

First, draw a table, with one row and 6 columns (like the one below).

Movies
Star Wars
Books
Stuart Little
TV Shows
Survivor
Plants
Sagebrush
Foods
Spaghetti
Colors
Siena

Next, fill in the table with categories of things you or your friends like. For example,

Movies
Star Wars
Books
Stuart Little
TV Shows
Survivor
Plants
Sagebrush
Foods
Spaghetti
Colors
Siena

Finally, choose a letter of the alphabet. You do that in this way: One person says the letters of the alphabet, in order, until another person says, "Stop!" Right then, you take the letter of the alphabet last said and use it to play the game.

How do you play the game? You use the letter as the first letter of a word you write down in each column.

Here's an example, using the letter S:

Movies
Star Wars
Books
Stuart Little
TV Shows
Survivor
Plants
Sagebrush
Foods
Spaghetti
Colors
Siena

Wasn't that fun?

People play games all around the world. Some games have the same rules, and some have different rules. You play games for fun, but you can also learn something.
