Definition: Goddess associated with darkness and death. She was wife to Seth and sister to Isis and Osiris. To the Egyptians, darkness and death weren't bad things. Death was just a step on a journey, and darkness was just a temporary absence of light. So, Nephthys wasn't looked on as a bad goddess.
