• Julius Caesar
Roman Empire


Definition: Emperor who succeeded in greatly expanding the borders of the Empire. He followed Julius Caesar's lead and succeeded where he had failed, conquering Britain in 43, and added North Africa and much of Arabia as well. He gave the Empire much money, trade, and pride, then was assassinated so his wife could make way for her son, Nero.
