Definition: Tennessee city that was the site of a Confederate victory by General Braxton Bragg over Union General William S. Rosencrans. However, Bragg left the field after his victory, allowing Rosencrans to occupy the city of Murfreesboro and continue the pursuit that would end in a Union victory at the Battle of Chattanooga.
