The continued bad weather has prompted Olympics officials to change the schedule for Alpine skiing. The combination of rain, fog, and temperatures too warm for safe skiing proved too much for the original schedule, which had the men's downhill taking place on Day One. (It's now scheduled for Monday.)

The weather is supposed to be more conducive to skiing next week. So far, only one training run has been completed, amid fears for safety on the mush that is the mountain.

Rescheduling skiing events is nothing new for the Winter Olympics. It has happened more often than not in the past few Olympics. In 1998, for example, in Nagano, Japan, the start of skiing was delayed for two entire days.
