Dubai has announced plans for a $136 million Museum of the Future, parts of which will be created using 3D printing.

The futuristic-looking structure, according to UAE Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, is to be built next to the Emirates Towers, in the country's central financial district, not from the Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building. The building's design is meant to incorporate lines of poetry written by the sheikh himself.

Initial plans call for a completion date of 2017. Planned areas of focus for exhibits include education, transportation, medicine, and electronics. Exhibits are expected to change every six months.

Few other details, including the name of the architect, have been revealed. What is known is the buliding's motto: "See the Future, Create the Future."

Also in the pipeline for Dubai are the world's tallest twin towers and the world's first indoor city.
